Yes, or someone who can show they are entitled to be there. We verify authorization before opening anything. It is the part of the job that protects you.
Are there emergency calls a licensed locksmith will not take?
Yes. We will not open a door without proof of a link to the address or vehicle, or work on a property in dispute. If a landlord, strata or police are needed, we say so.
What happens if the lock cannot be opened without drilling?
You hear it before it happens: why the pick failed, what drilling will destroy, what the replacement costs and the total. Then you decide. A drilled lock is never a surprise on our invoice.
Can a locksmith open a door for a welfare check when someone is not answering?
If there is any concern for someone's safety, call 911 first. Emergency services can authorize entry in a way a locksmith cannot, and we would rather arrive alongside them than instead of them.
