Can a smart lock go on my condo door without strata approval?
Check the bylaws first. Stratas often set rules for doors on a common corridor, and fire-rated doors have limits of their own.
Will a smart lock still open if the Wi-Fi goes down?
Usually, yes. Codes, fingerprints, Bluetooth and the key work at the lock itself. Until the connection returns, you lose remote control and phone alerts.
Do I still need a key with a smart lock?
Not day to day, but keep the backup. If your model has a key override, store that key where you can reach it, with a neighbour or at work, not in a drawer inside.
Can you install a smart lock I bought online?
Yes. Have the make and model ready when you call. We confirm it suits the door and your hub or app before any work begins.
Is keyless entry for a home safer than a regular deadbolt?
Not by itself. The door, frame and strike decide how well any deadbolt holds. The gain is control: you delete a code the day someone leaves.

We recommend the lock that fits the door and the way you live, not the one on sale. A lock you already own gets the same check.
For landlords, property managers and short-stay hosts, a code per tenant or guest, deleted when they leave, can replace a rekey if they never held the backup key. We can limit who adds users.
