Key Fob Replacement & Programming in Vancouver

Lost, broken or dead remote? We supply and program the fob to your car on the spot — remotes, flip keys and proximity smart keys for push-to-start — then sync it to the vehicle so lock, unlock and ignition all work. Fully mobile across Greater Vancouver, most makes and models, with a licensed locksmith and an average response of around twenty minutes.

What it is

What key fob programming actually involves

A modern car key is really two things — the remote that locks and unlocks the doors, and a chip the car has to recognise before it will start. A blank fob does nothing until it is paired to your specific vehicle’s immobiliser, which is why a hardware-store copy or an online fob usually arrives dead. Programming writes that fob into the car’s onboard computer so the buttons respond and, on push-to-start models, the car senses the smart key and lets you crank it.

We come to you with the right blank for your make, cut the emergency blade to your lock where the key hides one, and program it on-site using the same diagnostic gear a dealer uses — without the dealer wait. Whether you have lost every remote or just want a reliable spare, we confirm the price before we start, test every button and the start sequence, and leave you with a fob that works exactly like the original.

What’s included

What a fob job covers

  • Right fob supplied. Genuine or quality aftermarket remotes, flip keys and proximity smart keys matched to your make and model.
  • Cut to your car. The emergency blade or flip blade is cut to your lock — by code or by decoding the door where needed.
  • Programmed & synced. The fob is written to the immobiliser so remote buttons, keyless entry and push-to-start all respond.
  • All-keys-lost handled. Lost every remote? We can generate a new key to the vehicle, not just clone an existing one.
  • Old fob disabled. On request we can wipe a lost remote from the car so it no longer opens or starts it.
  • Roadside & spares. Done at your driveway, work or the roadside — plus battery swaps and back-up keys before you ever get stranded.
How it works

From dead fob to driving away

01

Confirm the key

Tell us the year, make and model — we identify the exact fob and quote a fixed price before we roll out.

02

Cut & program on-site

We meet you at the car, cut the blade, and pair the fob to the immobiliser with dealer-grade diagnostic tools.

03

Test everything

Lock, unlock, trunk, panic and the start sequence are all checked before you pay the price we agreed.

Why call us instead of the dealer

Same key, no dealer wait or tow

A dealer usually needs your car towed in and books you days out; we bring the programming to wherever the car is sitting and finish while you wait. There are no call-out surprises and no after-hours markup — the price is fixed and agreed up front, whether it is 2pm on a Tuesday or the middle of the night. Most jobs are done in a single visit, and if a fob a customer bought online turns out to be the wrong chip, we say so before charging for work that can’t succeed.

Licensed, bonded & insured · BC Security Worker Licence #E106677 · fixed, upfront pricing — no after-hours markup.
