Safe Moving & Anchoring in Vancouver

Moving a safe is heavy, awkward work that goes wrong fast without the right gear — and a safe that isn’t bolted down is a safe a thief can carry off. We relocate home and commercial safes within a building or across town, then re-anchor them properly at the other end. Licensed, bonded and insured, fully mobile across Greater Vancouver, with fixed pricing agreed before we lift a thing.

What it is

Moving and re-anchoring, done right

A gun safe or floor safe can run several hundred kilograms, and the weight is rarely where you expect it. Dragged on a bare floor it gouges hardwood, cracks tile and tips through a doorway; muscled up stairs without a plan it takes fingers and backs with it. We move safes with proper equipment — heavy-duty stair-climbing dollies, straps, skid plates and load-rated ramps — and we protect the route, floors and door frames as we go so nothing gets marked on the way through.

Anchoring is the other half of the job, and the half people skip. A safe that just sits on the floor can be walked out the door or tipped and pried at leisure. We bolt yours down through the manufacturer’s pre-drilled anchor points into concrete, wood joists or a solid subfloor, so it stays put and resists the leverage a thief needs to open it. We work out the route, the destination and the fixings in Vancouver homes and businesses before the day, so the move runs to plan.

What’s included

What a safe move covers

  • Route & access survey. We check doorways, stairs, corners and elevator limits so nothing gets stuck halfway.
  • Proper moving gear. Stair-climbing dollies, load-rated straps, skid plates and ramps — not brute force.
  • Floor & frame protection. The path, hardwood, tile and door jambs are padded and covered before we start.
  • Re-anchor at destination. Bolted through factory anchor points into concrete, joists or subfloor — not left loose.
  • Level & door check. We shim it level and confirm the door swings, locks and dials cleanly once it’s down.
  • Insured, fixed price. Bonded and insured work at a quoted rate — no call-out surprises or after-hours markup.
How it works

From walkthrough to bolted down

01

Survey both ends

We measure the safe, the exit route and the destination — stairs, thresholds, floor type — and quote a fixed price.

02

Move it protected

Path and floors covered, we walk the safe out on rated dollies and straps, keeping it controlled through every doorway and stair.

03

Anchor & verify

We bolt it down at the new spot, level it, and check the door and lock work before we hand it back.

Why it’s worth doing right

A safe you can’t carry off

Insurers and manufacturers both expect a safe to be anchored — an unbolted safe often voids the rating you paid for, and a burglar’s first move is simply to lift the whole thing and open it elsewhere. Bolting through the factory anchor points removes that option and turns your safe back into the deterrent it was built to be. We know how these units are constructed, so we drop yours into place without scratching the finish or the floor, and leave it fixed, level and ready to use.
