Safe Repair & Servicing in Vancouver
A slipping dial, a dead keypad or bolt-work that won’t retract doesn’t mean the safe is finished — it usually means one worn part. We service and repair safe locks across Greater Vancouver so you keep the safe you already own working, instead of buying a new one. Licensed, mobile and open 24/7, with fixed pricing agreed before any work starts.
What safe servicing actually fixes
Safe faults are almost always mechanical, and almost always predictable. Dials drift out of alignment and stop landing on the right numbers; electronic keypads die when the battery contacts corrode or the solenoid burns out; bolt-work jams when linkages dry out or a boltwork spring fatigues; and a relocker — the hidden device that freezes a safe if it senses tampering — can trip after a knock or a botched entry attempt and lock everything solid. Any one of those leaves you standing in front of a safe that used to open yesterday.
We diagnose the fault before we quote it, because the fix for a mis-reading dial is nothing like the fix for a fired relocker. Where we can, we service and re-align the existing lock non-destructively — manipulating or bypassing rather than cutting into your safe. Drilling is a last resort, always quoted first, and always followed by a proper repair so the safe is fully secure again. Because we run fully mobile, most Vancouver repairs happen on-site at your home or business, with a roughly 20-minute average response when it’s urgent.
What a repair & service call covers
- Dial & lock overhaul. Re-align slipping mechanical dials, service the drive cam and wheel pack, and restore a clean, repeatable feel.
- Electronic keypad repair. Replace dead keypads, corroded battery contacts and failed solenoids — and reset your code once it’s working.
- Jammed bolt-work. Free seized bolts and linkages, then clean and lubricate the boltwork so the handle turns smoothly again.
- Tripped relocker reset. Diagnose why a relocker fired, release it, and repair the trigger so the safe won’t lock itself again.
- Preventive service. Lubrication, contact cleaning and a full function test to head off the next failure before it strands you.
- Post-repair verification. We cycle the lock repeatedly, confirm it opens every time, and leave the safe as secure as the day it was rated.
From dead dial to working safe
Diagnose the fault
We identify the safe, read the symptoms and pin down whether it’s the dial, keypad, bolt-work or a tripped relocker.
Quote before we touch it
You get a fixed, upfront price — and if drilling is the only route, we tell you first, no after-hours markup.
Repair & verify
We service or replace the failed part on-site, cycle the lock until it opens reliably, and reset your code.
Keep the safe, lose the fault
A good safe outlives its lock several times over. Replacing the whole unit means moving weight, re-anchoring and paying for a new rating you already own — when the real problem is a worn solenoid or a dry boltwork spring. Servicing the lock keeps your existing fire or burglary rating intact, keeps the safe where it’s bolted, and costs a fraction of a replacement. We work non-destructively first and drill only when there’s no alternative, so your safe stays sound.
