On most models you enter the master code, delete the old user code and add a new one. We walk you through it at the handover, so you can do it yourself next time.
Can a keypad lock have a code that only works on certain days?
On many app-connected models, yes: you can limit a code to certain days, hours or dates. Most standalone keypads cannot, so tell us when you call and we match the model.
Does a keypad lock wear out the same four digits?
The buttons you press most can show wear or smudges, which narrows the guess. A longer code, changing it now and then, and extra digits before the code, where the model allows, all help.
Will a keypad lever work on a basement suite door with no deadbolt?
Yes, a keypad lever fits a standard bored door. It latches the door, but a latch is not a deadbolt. On a suite's outside door we suggest adding a deadbolt too, keyed or keypad.
What if someone forgets the code, or the master code is lost?
